C80 News

Well, Comiket 80 is done, and I’ll be putting in another order on Monday for the stuff that’s shown up since I put in my first order, so there’s still time to get donations in if you want to help me purchase stuff. Every penny will go to getting new scans for you all! I’m sure some stuff will be scanned before I get to it, but I’ll probably end up rescanning it anyway. Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait for the books to ship from Japan, so don’t expect my scans to get posted right away. It’ll be a couple weeks at least. But, good things come to those who wait!

In the meantime, I’ll have some stuff to post this week, including at least one new translation. Look forward to it!

Update

Hey all, just a quick update. I was working on some unrelated projects, and had a major computer hardware failure, so everything is on hold right now. I’ll update when I have a better idea of how things are looking.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE (June 4): Good news is I’m getting everything back in order and will have some stuff to post soon. Bad news is the hardware failure resulted in a corruption of most of my archive PNGs, which isn’t THAT big a loss, as the JPG versions are all still available on the intarwebs. Also lost most of the stuff I’ve downloaded over the past couple years, but all that means is that i don’t have to sort it, yay! I did not lose any unposted scans, so worry not in that regard.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATED UPDATE (July 4): I’ve been at AX on vacation since I posted my batch of stuff last week; just wanted to mention I’ll have a few good scans to post when I return. As I said, though, I’ve had some unexpected expenses over the past few months, so my C80 order will be smaller than I’d like. I will be getting some of the usual suspects for sure (Maidoll, Insert, etc.), but if you’d like to see more of what I normally scan, please donate!

STICKY: Archive Downloads

My Megaupload account appears to have been hit by a link deleter, so virtually all of my MU links no longer work.  In the coming days, I’ll probably reupload some of the recent ones, but I also decided to start maintaining a Hotfile folder, so it is easier to access all the older downloads.  It should also be easier to maintain.  Currently, all I’ve put in the folder are the files I currently had on Hotfile, but I’ll get the rest up there over the next week or so.

Hotfile Archive Folder
Megaupload Archive Folder

I may add some subfolders to better sort it at some point.  Please feel free to suggest your personal preference for how the files are sorted.  Also once I have everything uploaded, let me know if anything is missing.

EDIT (09/23): The vast majority of files are up now, and I’ve added a Megaupload folder.  There’s still some straggler files I’ve misplaced, but I’ll get them uploaded as soon as I can.

Notes

Couple quick notes —

* I’ll be at Anime Expo in a week and a half or so, so I may be slow at moderating comments and the like.

* If you have an account on Erotic Rapture and did not get the admin emails, you’ll need to reset your password to log back on.  If you tried before and got the message that you were banned, that has been fixed, you can log on now.

Outsourced Scans update

A while back, bubbadg finished his scan of my hardcopy of Distance’s My Slave in order to give Lhytiss the high-res scans for the translation.  Well, bubbadg went through and re-edited the whole book and did some general QC’ing on it and posted it on his blog a few days ago.  Go get it if you haven’t yet, it’ll be well worth your time.

Side note:  He has a lot of Black Dog (among other things) rescans and re-edits available too, so do yourselves a favor and upgrade your copies.  :D

Minor Update

Just a quick note:  I’m going to have a “Christmas Postfest” so to speak this Friday, so I probably won’t post anything before then.  Also, Q (of Behind Moon) has a new tankoubon out; about half of the chapters are things I’ve already had SaHa translate (when they were published in magazines), so I’m going to have him finish it up after he completes what he is currently working on for me, so look forward to that as well.

Off to Anime Expo for the weekend

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, I’ve been rather busy of late.  I’m heading off to Anime Expo this weekend, but I plan to knock out a couple books when I get back, so look forward to that.

Updates to Coverscan Gallery MkX

This is loooong overdue.  This will be a very long post due to the number of doujinshi I’ve gotten in the last six months or so.  Also note that there are a lot listed as unknown, primarily because I was too lazy to look up the artist or circle.  :) (more…)

Updates to Coverscan Gallery MkIX

I got more stuff in recently, so more covers have been added to the gallery.  I’m insane, I know.  :) (more…)

Updates to Coverscan Gallery MkVIII

Time for more additions to my coverscan gallery! (more…)

Christmasy News

Some Christmasy news for you all.  First, and best (and completely off-topic), is that Yasunori Mitsuda updated with some news about the mythological Chrono Cross Arrange Album (and there’s even a sample!):

In other news, I have a bunch of doujinshi to release as Christmas gifts for you all, so check back on Thursday for some very special treats!

Updates to Coverscan Gallery MkVII

Got a new order in and I had some old items that I hadn’t added to the gallery yet, so it’s time for another gallery update! (more…)

Many Rapidshare Links Down

It looks like a lot of my links, especially in the 0405 archive, got blocked pending deletion by Rapidshare, so I’ll have to re-upload them over the next few days. Please bear with it.

EDIT: Looks like all the links on the three archive pages were killed. I’ve taken them down for now. I’ll probably kill my two since I’ve updated my categories so it is easier to find items. I’ll probably make individual posts for the Tokorodokoro files. It’ll take a while to get everything back up, though, so please be patient.

EDIT 2: Individual posts for Tokorodokoro’s files are up, and back-dated to September 12th. You can quickly get to them using the Tokorodokoro Archive category link on the left. I’ll start getting my old scans back up on RS during the week; in the meantime, just use Megaupload.

EDIT 3: All Rapidshare links should be back up now. However, it looks like some Megaupload links are now down, so I’ll be going through and getting those re-uploaded. Please comment if you notice any down so I can get them back up as soon as possible.

EDIT 4: I believe all the links are now working.  Please alert me if any go down again.  I’ll have some new scans tomorrow.

Updates to Coverscan Gallery MkVI

A couple large orders came in recently, so its time for more coverscan updates! Woohoo!

New Contributor

As you all may have noticed, there is a new addition to the growing* ranks of staff here at anonymous-scanner.net. Please welcome Nameless Translator, who was looking for someplace to host his translations.  With his help I shall soon rule the world!  Mwahahahahah!

Or if not rule the world, at least bring you delicious porn.

News and Site Updates

Sorry I haven’t posted anything new recently, I’ve been really busy with work, life, and some backend stuff for the blog. You may have noticed some of the changes already, particularly with the sidebar. Also, access to some of the download links has been spotty over the past couple days because I went through and consolidated them all to single accounts at Megaupload and Rapidshare. Sorry if it caused any inconvenience, but they should all be working now (and please let me know if you find any that aren’t!). I promise to get a new scan up this weekend, too. :)

New Stuff:

  • Archive lists in the sidebar. All download links (with samples), except the most recent ones, have been consolidated into a “quick access” list. They’re currently split between A-M and N-Z; I’ll probably have to split them down further as time goes on.
  • Tokorodokoro at Night’s doujinshi translation archive. I agreed to host 0405’s doujinshi translations since his site will be going dark soon, and have put up them all up in a single archival list, similar to my own scan archives.
  • New Category dropdowns. I put three new category dropdowns in the sidebar to make it easier for you all to find exactly what you want. They are Artist/Circle, Fetish, and Source. If there is something not listed that you’d like added, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do. :) I’ve still kept individual links for the primary categories for those who want to browse that way. I hope everyone finds them useful!

I have a slew of unprocessed scans that I need to work on, so hopefully now I can get to regular updates!

Updates to Coverscan Gallery MkV

Well, I’m back from Otakon, and here we have the new doujinshi acquisitions I purchased (plus a few I got from before the con). (more…)

Doujin and Artist News MkII

One of my favorite artists, Simosi, updated his page with a new image from of Rise Kujikawa from Persona 4. To my knowledge, he has not published any doujinshi or worked on any anime/manga/games; however, his artwork is top-notch quality and beatifully colored. He frequently removes older artwork from his website, so if you’re interested in finding more of his pieces, you’re probably in for some searching. His main webpage is called Walpurgisnacht.

Also, I’ll be at Otakon this weekend. There won’t be anything distinguishing about me, unless you count reading something other than manga at an anime con distinguishing. :) I hope to post UniniGumi’s MSW2 either Friday or Saturday night, but it may get pushed off until Sunday or Monday, depending on what’s going on. I’ll also be getting more doujinshi, so expect another coverscan update.

Doujin and Artist News MkI

C74 is nearing, so a number of artists and circles are beginning to update their sites in anticipation of the event. Kensoh Ogawa updated his website with the cover of his next doujinshi, which features Milly from Code Geass. And it is very hot, if you ask me. :)

Tonbo Kusanagi updated his page recently, and mentions he is participating Comitia 85, on August 24th. No new cover image, although there is a new top image and gallery image. I’m actually not sure exactly when he updated, since it’s been a few weeks since I visited. ^^;

Yuki Yanagi updated with the cover of a manga released last month, as well as the cover of her upcoming doujin, based on Macross Frontier. Awesome art from her, as usual! Definitely looking forward to it.
